Drain Tile
Adequate drainage is a vital part of maintaining a dry basement, which is why Cornerstone Foundations trusts the Form-A-Drain product when creating basement footers. This product is very stable, stays in place and forms an interior and exterior drain tile, with the added benefit that it can be used to collect radon gas if required by site conditions.
Stone Placement
Cornerstone Foundations works with a local subcontractor, Stone Slinger, to deliver and place underslab stone for site grades. Stone Slinger is used by many foundation contractors for its speed, accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Concrete Pumping
The 32-meter Putzmeister Pump truck puts concrete right where it is needed. As members of the American Concrete Pumping Association, Cornerstone Foundations is qualified to use this time- and money-saving technique to provide its clients with superior results.
Concrete pumps are efficient and cost-effective because they only require access to one corner of the foundation, reducing the need for expensive site work caused by creating multiple corner access points. This method also allows concrete to be poured at a lower slump, resulting in a less intrusive finished product.
Point Layout
Cornerstone Foundations provides point layout for footers and walls, using Trimble Total Station robotic equipment to ensure accuracy. Working with control points provided by the surveyor, the process involveslocating building corners before construction of footers and walls begins.
CAD Drawing
Cornerstone Foundations uses a specialized concrete CAD program to redraw plans provided by clients, giving its crews the information they need to pour basement walls quickly, efficiently and accurately.
